So what do you think about good ol' Bush now after he commuted Libby's prison sentence stating 30 months was excessive. I live in San Diego but am originally from Texas and I just want to put it on the record, not all Texans are as stupid as this asshole! I look forward to reading your comment!

Dear Leslie... What do I think about "good ol' Bush" now? Not much more than I thought of it (yes, he's a fucking it to me) when I called him Bush the liar in this post:

Or where I noted the evil of his legacy in this post:

or where I called him George the Evil Shrub Cocksucker Bush in this one:

I have hated Bush for quite a long time. Never agreed with his pet war. And I believe he has an evile, egotistic, narcissistic, dark, black heart masked by false claims of Christianity.

What do I think of him now? I same as I did before; he's a worm. Anything more I could wish to say would send the Secret Service to my door.

Thanks for visiting. I'm damn glad to know people still care about these two guys. I am in touch with Ignacio Nacho the Hero Ramos' wife; she's a beautiful soul, and neither of them deserve the evil that has been wrought on them by Cocksucker Bush.

By the way, I called Mrs. Ramos the minute I heard of the Libby travesty. This type of news makes them even sicker than they feel already, if that is possible.

Libby wasn't the source of the leak. The people that WERE responsible for the leak weren't even prosecuted. As usual, all roads lead to Rove, and Libby was a fall guy. His pardon was no doubt pre-arranged in exchange for his complicity; it would be very difficult for Bush to pardon the actual perpetrators. Yes, he was guilty of obstruction of justice, but it is a rather benign charge relative to the acts of the true criminals, especially considering that he was obstructing details regarding an antecedent to the actual leak. Frankly, this was one of the least egregious acts in Bush's long and tarnished legacy of abuse of executive privilege, and pales in comparison to the sins of his father. His daddy pardoned Caspar Weinberger and company for their role in the Iran-Contra affair, which was a far more sinister and corrupt scenario. Not to be outdone, Clinton pardoned 140 people on his last day in office, including Marc Rich. But back to the subject of Michela's post: The real travesty is the fact that members of the politburo are teflon, while hard-working, dedicated, honest men like Ramos and Compean get thrown to the wolves. "Justice for All" means fair and equal treatment. Bush's action merely underscored the double-standard that is firmly entrenched in our legal system.

Libby's crime or lack thereof is not the point. Bush the bastard sits there and says HIS sentence is excessive, while two defenders of our nation languish in prison under his watch. THAT'S the problem with this. If he were truly interested in justice, he would have ended the Ramos/Compean nightmare 2 years ago.

I think I was agreeing with you, but anyway-

I don't think Bush isn't going to pardon Agent Ramos or Compean anytime soon, especially after the amnesty bill defeat. He obviously takes personal affront to his plans being subverted by anybody, and he no doubt views a pardon of the agents as another win for the people that killed his pet legislation. If he wasn't a lame duck we might hope that he would try a regain some of his approval rating by appeasing that constituency, but his recent actions make it even more apparent that he has little regard for public sentiment. It's going to take an act of Congress to make it happen, and I think Grassfire, et al, are the best vehicles for change. The good news is that the grassroots efforts were extraordinarily effective in effecting a change in sentiment among the legislature. People like you, that have worked tirelessly to maintain a vigil for the agents and their families, are the mainstay of the grassroots effort, and your vigilance has been truly inspirational to myself and countless others. Now that the focus is off of the immigration legislation, the attention of the public can again be channeled towards freedom for these two men. Let's hope that the empowerment that was recently displayed can be wielded equally effectively.
