I have found confirmation that this protest did occur on February 6, 2006, in response to the cartoons of Muhommad. Sure a few clerics denounced the protest blah blah but I still stand by my assertion that without a massive Reformation--like that undertaken by Christians hundreds of friggin years ago--Muslims will continue to mostly blow themselves to bits and destroy innocents with them.

First of all, the Crusades were a thousand freekin years ago, warsan. A thousand years ago. Radical muslims of today are more fitting for the Dark Ages than the Internet Revolution. Secondly, go read the book "Jesus and Muhammad" and tell me how wrong I am. How ignorant I am. In case you're not willing to pick it up, I'll give you a quick synopsis; the writer was a Muslim university student who dared to ask questions (as any good scholar will no matter what the topic or how strong the fait) and was tortured, for years, by the Dark Age government he was unfortunate enough to be born into. I guarantee you, warsan, university students in the United States--or any other western, non-muslim country, for that matter--are never ever tortured when they question the idiocy of Bush-boy or the Christian or Muslim or whatever religions. Not so in any muslim country. Bloody ignorant? No. I think you have your eyes closed to how brutal this religion is. At its core, it preaches violence against non-muslims. End of story.
